I am an artist interested in the possibilities of perception and reflection

- of the individual in relation to the soci(et)al and the connections amongst these such as constructions of history, rules of behavior / consumption and the ideas of conscious development- both for the single person and the collective.
I make art to get in contact with and start a dialogue about what is/ was, trying to find new ways to communicate. For this I often choose a special visual language using methods of shifting, fragmenting and collaging.

Analysing how something presents itself- humans as well as systems- often is the starting point for my artistic investigation. Getting a glance behind the surface, getting to know the desires and expectations coming along with different phenomenons is my motivation.

My paintings with toothpaste have their origin in my fascination with bodies, surfaces, forms of self-presentation up to obsessions and the democracies of aging.

The longer I paint my interest shifts to the surprising characteristics of the material itself, its potential in expression, concrete movements, abstractions, colors and smells. It´s a diverse and sensual painting-process co-working with the power of gravity and time.
